Event Description-
The San Antonio Adventure Race is a point-to-point scavenger hunt run through O.P Schnabel Park ON PAVED SURFACES. It will be pet, stroller and family friendly! You will NOT be required to go off roading or run through trails.

We will have SEVEN checkpoints spread throughout the park that you will need to find. At each checkpoint there will be a custom stamp that you will need to mark your bib with. These stamps will prove that you made it to each checkpoint.

Once you collect all of the checkpoint stamps, you are done! Head back to the finish line and receive your FINISHER MEDAL and FREE BEER!

This event will be around 3-5 miles of running/walking and navigating (depending on which route you take). All of the checkpoints will be spread throughout OP Schnabel Park ON PAVED TRAILS. You will NOT be required to run through the woods. You can use the woods as a shortcut however. The path you take is up to you!

We will be passing out maps with the checkpoint locations 15 minutes before the event starts. This will be part of the adventure. You will have to figure out your own race course and the order you want to collect the checkpoints.

Start/Finish line and Aid Station-
The San Antonio Adventure Race will start and finish at the large pavilion next to the playground and parking lot. There are plenty of restrooms and water fountains nearby.

This will also be where our centrally located aid station will stationed. Since you will be running throughout OP Schnabel Park, you can stop by at anytime to rehydrate and ask questions.

Medals and Awards-
We will have finisher medals for EVERYONE. We will also have awards for the top 3 individual male and female finishers, PLUS the top 3 teams.

To receive an award for fastest time, each team must stay together. Bibs will be verified to ensure all runners visited every checkpoint.

Finish Line Beer-
Each participant who is 21 years or older will receive a complimentary beer for finishing the San Antonio Adventure Run! We have teamed up with Freetail Brewing as our finish line beer sponsor. Participants who are 21 years and younger will receive a craft root beer to join in on the fun!
