Wow.  What a morning.  We are SO SORRY we had to cancel the River City Half Marathon, 5k & 10k.

We wanted to host the race “rain or shine”; however, mother nature had other plans.  We marked the course at 4a.m. and were all set up and ready to go when the storm hit.  And it hit hard.  The front knocked over all equipment, damaging and soaking our tents, tables, food and timing equipment.  With the equipment going down, we weren’t able to delay the event for later today.  

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support the event.  Everyone we spoke with this morning was more than gracious and understanding.  That means so much to us!  We are a small race events company who strive to provide great customer service and fun races.  The support that everyone showed this morning and online has been amazing.  Thank you again.

I know this doesn’t take away the disappointment from not running today, however we hope it helps.  Thank you again for your patience and understanding.  We greatly appreciate your support and couldn’t do what we enjoy doing without you.  Please stay safe and dry!
