Freetail Brewing has chosen Bat Conservation International (“BCI”) as their charity sponsor for the Freetail Brewing 5k Beer Run.

BCI is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the study and preservation of the world’s more than 1,330 known species of bats. They are the world leader in defending bats and the habitats they serve, working throughout North and South America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.

BCI combines education and outreach with scientific research and direct conservation action to win protection for key bat populations and the places they live. We transform public attitudes towards bats by dispelling harmful myths that threaten their survival. We are committed to establishing self-sustaining conservation efforts around the world to secure a brighter future for bats.

BCI is proud to protect Bracken Cave, the world’s largest bat colony, located just outside San Antonio.
