This Saturday, May 19th, is going to be the most UNIQUE event of 2018!

Location:
O.P. Schnabel Park is at the intersection of Bandera Rd and Braun Rd in San Antonio.  The address is 9606 Bandera Rd, San Antonio TX 78250.  We will be at the large pavilion in the middle of the park.  Simply drive into the park and then take a left at the T.  The pavilion will be down on the right hand side next to the playground.

Packet Pickup:
We will have packet pickup from 7am-7:45am at the large pavilion.  This is where you will grab your shirt and bib.

Race Course and Map:
The ‘adventure’ part of the San Antonio Adventure Race is that you will have to chose your own race course!  At 7:45am we will be passing out the map that has all SEVEN checkpoint locations spread throughout the park.  You will have 15 minutes to decide your plan because the race will begin at 8am!  

You will be able to access the checkpoints on paved trails, however if you are feeling adventurous, you can cut across on the many single track trails spread throughout O.P. Schnabel Park.

Checkpoint Stamps:
We will have stamps at each of the seven checkpoints that you will need to place on the bottom of your bib.  Each stamp is a different color and this is what will prove that you made it to each checkpoint.  TEAMS NEED TO STICK TOGETHER DURING THIS EVENT.

Aid Station:
We will have one aid station, right in front of the large pavilion.  This will be the center hub for the event, so stop by as many times as you’d like.

Chip timing/Awards:
This will be a chip timed event and we will have awards for the top 3 teams, top 3 female individual finishers and top 3 male individual finishers.  Each team needs to stick together and their finishing time will be the average of each team member.  Everyone will receive a finisher’s medal!

Finish Line Beer, Root Beer and Food:
Thank you to the AMAZING team at Freetail Brewing Co, we will have a finisher’s beer at the finish line.  Not a beer fan or under 21?  No problem.  We will also have craft root beer available too.  We will also have some finish line food available to replenish the calories you just burned.
